Notice of Reasonable Accommodations
WHEDA is committed to ensuring equal access to housing and program services for individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Fair Housing Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
If you or a household member has a disability, you may request a reasonable accommodation or reasonable modification at any time, including during the application process, eligibility determination, leasing, recertification, or ongoing participation in the program.
Definitions Reasonable Accommodation:
A change to a rule, policy, practice, or service that may be necessary to allow a person with a disability equal access to WHEDA programs and services. Reasonable Modification: A physical change to a dwelling unit or common area that may be necessary for a person with a disability to fully use and enjoy the housing.
How to Request an Accommodation
Requests may be made at any time and do not need to be in writing or use special wording. Requests may be submitted through the Tenant or Applicant Portal or by contacting the Program Administrator to requesting a paper form.
