Applicant Portal Registration Information

Steps

  1. Click the aqua colored Applicants Portal link in the left column on this page under "Portal Login"
  2. Optional: Bookmark or save the resulting page in your favorites for easy future access
  3. Once the page loads, click: Need a New User Account? Register
  4. Enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number for the Head of Household
  5. Enter Owner Name exactly as WHEDA has it in database
    (if unsure of the Owner Name, email HCVprogram@wheda.com to confirm)
  6. Enter Date of Birth
  7. Enter Last Name
  8. Click Verify
  9. When the message “Your information can not be found in the Waiting List, please click 'Apply' to apply for Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority Program.” appears, click Apply
  10. Click +Apply Program button on right
  11. Scroll through the list under Program Name and click Apply for the county or program you are applying for.
    Note: Not all counties and programs may be available.
    • Repeat previous two steps if you wish to apply for more than one county/program
  12. Answer required Yes/No questions, then click +Add, then Next
  13. Continue entering details for HoH (Head of Household: Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Social Security Number, Citizenship, Race, Ethnicity, Language, Contact Info) then Next
  14. Click +Add Member button on right and repeat data details for each additional member of the household
  15. Continue to enter optional data (Income, Assets, Deductions, Documents) if you have this information ready to include
  16. When you reach final Certification tab at top, read terms, check Accept box, add Signature, then click Submit
  17. You will get a green Confirmation message, then click Continue
  18. On Sign Up screen, enter your own email and a password (you create), check “Agree to Terms” box and select Sign Up at bottom

Congratulations! You're all set to manage your Applicant account online.

  5. Set your Communication Preferences under Contact Info so you will get texts, emails, or both -- alerting you when you need to Login to the portal to see updates
